About the 5th Grade Team
Hi my name is Sarah Bordley aka Sarah O'Neill 🙂 This is my 13th year teaching in MCPS and my 9th year at Bells Mill. I taught 1st grade for 6 years, 4th grade for years, and this is my 3rd year in 5th grade. I think I finally found my home with the 5th graders, I love the age and couldn't imagine teaching any other grade now!
I grew up in Potomac, and actually went to Cabin John for a year before transferring to Stone Ridge. I finished my undergraduate degree at University of Maryland, and also got my Masters in Reading and Reading Specialist certification at University of Maryland as well.
In my free time I love doing anything that involves being active. I love running, weight lifting, boxing, kayaking, hiking, basically anything that involves moving around! I ran my first half-marathon last spring and am looking forward to challenging myself again this spring!
